Slaughter the Lizard Sea!
The Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon had no patience to spare. Faced with the lightning that had bored into its body, it didn't even flinch — its enormous fanged maw snapped straight down toward the demonic Mo Fan.
The Pseudo-Dragon's bite was far more than the width of its jaws. The moment it gaped open, a black void began to sink downward across a hundred-meter radius, swallowing roads, buildings, and even the sluggish Lizard-Skull Giant Demons along with everything else.
The demonic Mo Fan stood at the very center of that void, the creature's savage teeth rising up all around him.
The truth was obvious: the black void was the Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon's esophagus. It intended to swallow this entire section of the city in a single gulp.
Mo Fan sprang upward, trying to leap free of the black hole the Pseudo-Dragon's esophagus had become. The creature had begun to inhale with savage force, however, generating a suction vortex so powerful that even objects outside the void were dragged inward toward its gullet.
"You love to swallow so much? Then let me give you a real mouthful."
Both palms rose high above his head. A fireball took shape above the demonic Mo Fan, slowly at first.
It started no bigger than a Fire Burst — but as the demonic Mo Fan's entire body blazed like a fire demon, the fireball began to swell with terrifying speed.
It grew and grew, until it was large enough to fill half a city block, a burning sphere the size of a meteorite held aloft above his head.
Every muscle erupted. The demonic Mo Fan hurled that colossal fireball straight down into the black void.
*If this is your esophagus, I'll blow your esophagus and stomach to nothing.*
The fireball thundered downward. Not even a void capable of crushing entire buildings could contain such a conflagration.
Too late, the Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon recognized how foolish its mindless swallowing had been. It scrambled to retract its manifested esophagus — but the flame sphere had already vanished inside.
**Gurgle~~~!!**
A deep, muffled detonation — and the Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon's enormous belly suddenly bulged outward. The fireball had gone off inside its stomach.
The creature reeled in agony, throwing its throat wide to let the violent flames pour upward out of its body.
Lucky for it, the Pseudo-Dragon's esophagus and stomach walls were even tougher than its hide. Any other Commander-class creature would have had its organs blasted to nothing by that flame sphere.
Still, fire wreathed the Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon from end to end. Its writhing, thrashing body flattened swaths of buildings, and there was no chance it could purge those flames anytime soon.
The Lizard-Skull Giant Demons and Colossal Death Lizards packed across the main street watched their commander reduced to such a sorry state — and answered with a chorus of piercing shrieks.
They felt no fear. They surged toward the demonic Mo Fan like a tide, wave after wave of ferocious lizard skulls, warriors hurling themselves into the breach to shield their sovereign, one rank dying as the next rushed forward.
But Mo Fan, wielding the power of the Demon Element, had nothing left to fear from creatures like these. This was exactly what he craved — the slaughter.
He half-curled his palm into a claw and stood in the middle of the main boulevard, his gaze sweeping across the endless sea of lizards stretching to the horizon.
"Trash. Every last one of you."
His claw raked through the air. The wolf soul shadow bound to his body mirrored the motion exactly — and in less than a single second, the enormous claw-shadow blazed along the street and devoured more than half its length.
That one slash had nearly split open the entire two-kilometer main boulevard.
Every Lizard-Skull Giant Demon standing along that line was cleaved in two.
A long crack was left in the street, bottomless. On both sides lay neatly bisected corpses — one half here, one half there. The blood came several seconds late, then erupted in great sprays. How many Lizard-Skull Giant Demons that one claw had torn apart, no one could say. The blood pooled in the crack until it became a river.
Mo Fan withdrew his hand. The wolf soul shadow's giant claw retracted with it.
His eyes snapped onto a shape in the distance — an Earth Colossal Death Lizard whose bulk dwarfed even ordinary Colossal Death Lizards by several magnitudes.
The Earth Colossal Death Lizard could blend seamlessly into its surroundings. The creature had been crouching there the entire time, waiting for the perfect moment to swallow the demonic Mo Fan whole.
Unfortunately for it, the very instant it stirred, Mo Fan had already found it.
*An Ascension Phase Colossal Death Lizard? A near-invincible existence among Battle-General-class Demon-Beasts?*
*So what.*
The demonic Mo Fan launched into a nimble leap, weaving past the creature's reeking fangs, and by the time the obese lizard had begun its slow, clumsy turn, he had already reached its tail.
Mo Fan's hands were human-sized. The wolf soul shadow that cloaked him was not.
His palm closed. The shadow crushed the Earth Colossal Death Lizard's long tail in an iron grip — and a creature large enough to flatten buildings into rubble was simply hoisted into the air. That enormous mountain of flesh was hurled fifty or sixty meters skyward by sheer brute force.
As if he were tossing a toy.
The airborne Colossal Death Lizard thrashed desperately. At the apex of its arc, a massive purple-black lightning bolt crashed down onto its skull without warning.
The bolt drove straight through, all the way to the ground, as though the creature's skull offered no resistance whatsoever.
The Ascension Phase Colossal Death Lizard went rigid in midair — and died before it ever hit the ground.
"Directly... directly one-shotted?!"
Nearby, Zhao Manyan's jaw had dropped so far he couldn't close it.
That had been one of the most powerful existences among Battle-General-class Demon-Beasts — and the demonized Mo Fan had killed it in an instant.
*This military experiment isn't an experiment at all. They've literally created a demon.*
**Thud~~~**
The Earth Colossal Death Lizard's enormous corpse crashed down in front of him. The demonic Mo Fan didn't spare it a glance. He stepped up onto the lightning-pierced skull and fixed his gaze on the Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon, which had been content this whole time to send cannon fodder to its death.
Fury blazed in the Pseudo-Dragon's lantern-like eyes.
*When did Jinlin City ever produce something like this? Such a tiny body — yet such incomprehensible power.*
**"Roaaarrr~~~!!"**
**"Howwwll~~~!!!"**
The Giant Lizard Pseudo-Dragon roared without pause, summoning every lizard subject across Jinlin City to converge on its position.
The Lizard-Skull Giant Demons were still overwhelming in number. They had overrun this entire city district, their spines rising and falling across every street in an undulating sea of flesh. Heeding their commander's call, they kept flowing inward from all directions.
They encircled the demonic Mo Fan — completely, airtight — moving to bury him beneath a tide of bodies.
The demonic Mo Fan's lips curved.
The small Loach Pendant around his neck began to tremble with excitement.
"Easy," the demonic Mo Fan murmured, giving the trembling pendant a light pat. "They're all yours."
His words carried the promise of endless slaughter.
